Course Description
Evidence Based Medicine Course - Treatments for Parkinson´s Disease – The Applications of the Principles of Evidence Based Medicine to Clinical Practice will outline the concept of Evidence Based Medicine (EBM), and then present an update on the MFDS Systematic Reviews on PD treatments. This will be followed by case scenarios thereby putting the theory into practice.
Recommended Audience
Neurologists, geriatricians and other clinicians treating patients with PD as well as younger colleagues in training.
Learning Objectives
- Explain the concept of evidence based medicine
- List the treatments available for the management of motor and non-motor symptoms of Parkinson’s disease
- Identify the role of each agent in the treatment of Parkinson’s disease
- Discuss the clinical applications of each treatment in the management of Parkinson’s disease
