FACIAL PALSY 2019
Welcome to the Facial Palsy Course Vienna 2019!
This course is designed for 30 surgeons with an interest in advanced reconstruction of facial nerve in-juries and facial paralysis, with the aim of providing direct experience of the most advanced surgical techniques, including nerve reconstruction proce-dures, facial reanimation with muscle transfers and ancillary procedures.
The course is organized by the faculties of the Medical University of Vienna, Austria, and Uppsala University, Sweden, with invited renowned facial palsy experts from Austria, Germany, Sweden, Taiwan and the United States of America.
We have arranged an exciting, three-day intensive educational program for 30 surgeons involving hands-on dissection and practical lectures on surgical techniques of facial nerve reconstruction in a step-by-step manner. The topics include free and pedicle muscle transfer for facial reanimation and complementary procedures for facial symmetrization and eye closure.
