CINP 2018 World Congress - Neuropsychopharmacology
Meeting Global Challenges with Global Innovation
Dear Colleagues,
It is our pleasure to invite you to join us in historic Vienna, Austria in 2018 for the 31st CINP World Congress, “Neuropsychopharmacology: Meeting Global Challenges with Global Innovation.”
This is the most exciting moment in the history of our field. New technologies accelerate our understanding of the connections between genes, circuits, and behaviour. Advances in neuroscience are shaping our understanding of psychiatric pathophysiology and pushing the boundaries of treatment.
The International College of Neuropsychopharmacology (CINP) was the first organization attempting to link the advances in brain science to the alleviation of the distress and disability associated with neuropsychiatric disorders. It remains the only global research society with this important mission. The CINP World Congresses have been exceptional venues to present groundbreaking new research and to learn from leaders in the field.
It is timely for CINP to come to Vienna. Vienna has a long and distinguished tradition of scientific innovation. It was here that Sigmund Freud founded the psychoanalytic movement. Yet Vienna is also beloved as a cultural center. It was the home of the Hapsberg Empire, Beethoven, Brahms, and Mozart. It is now renowned for its wonderful restaurants, coffee houses, museums, music, theater, and nightlife.
So please join us! Let’s carry the wonderful momentum from the 2016 CINP World Congress in Seoul, Korea to Vienna in 2018.
Sincerely,
John Krystal, USA
CINP President
Siegfried Kasper, Austria
